Sabu Joseph is a Managing Consultant at JMJ in the EMEA Region, managing JMJ’s Middle East business operations. He joined JMJ in 2006 and has over 12 years of experience in Oil and Gas consulting, specifically in, ongoing operations, commissioning and construction. He has been the lead consultant for Qatar Shell Operations (Goal Zero) and Qatargas Operations (IIF), leading safety culture at work, for both. He co-designed and led Shell’s operational excellence programme Pride in Production (PIP). He has led several major change management, operational excellence and faculty development initiatives in the Middle East and India.
In his current role as a Managing Consultant with QAPCO, he is supporting the creation of a High-Performance Safety (HPS) culture, encompassing all aspects of HSE; systems, behaviors, personal and cultural. He provides real-time solutions in process safety, as well as, personal safety, facilitating the creation of safety leaders across all levels of the organization.
Previously, Sabu has led many engagements providing highly valuable onsite coaching and development for diversified groups, for global businesses such as Qatargas, Ras Gas, JBOG, Laffan Refinery, JGC, Maersk Oil, Fluor and numerous other major clients in the Middle East region. His area of expertise is the inclusivity of different cultures within high performance teams, as well as, effectively spearheading leadership initiatives across all levels.
Sabu also led several high-performance organizational change agent development programmes, leadership workshops, and alignment sessions, greatly improving their performance. He believes that his experience in working with several operations and being part of large projects has helped him understand what it takes to achieve success within a multicultural workforce.
Sabu has a Master’s Degree with specialization in Personnel Management and Industrial Psychology. He is also a recipient of Common Wealth Secretariat Scholarship, Government of India.
