Ian Hedding joined JMJ in November 2020, bringing 20 years of consulting experience across diverse industries and cultures. He has extensive knowledge of working in the energy, chemicals, and mining industries, with a focus on operational excellence; maintenance and reliability, culture change and digital transformation. His experience ranges from onsite project team leadership, through to market development and strategic account planning. Ian has led engagements across five continents, including oil and gas projects in the Middle East, chemicals projects in Africa, and mining projects in South America. He has been responsible for go-to-market plans across sectors, relationship development with key executives and leadership teams, and new business generation.

Prior to joining JMJ, Ian held senior-level positions with The Carnrite Group and Ernst & Young. His strategic leadership contributed to substantial revenue growth at both companies. He has also been a sector leader for the energy and chemical industries at two boutique consulting firms.

Ian holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Fisher College of Business in both operations management and finance. He completed his executive education in business dynamics: Diagnosing and solving complex business problems, and is certified in maintenance and reliability by the Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals.

Ian lives in Ohio, USA with his wife and two children. He plays hockey in two adult leagues and enjoys being an assistant coach for his son’s hockey team.
